It was improvement over vanilla but nowhere near latest expansions. BfA class design is essentially Legion class design minus legendaries (which really cannot be included as class design because you might have been unlucky for first year) plus azerite and the only spec that was truly done was demo lock which is amazing and probably the best of all times all classes.Īlso TBC class design sucked really hard.
If anything there is a correlation with adding new classes and good class design, as the expansions that are widely considered the pinnacle of class design TBC, Wrath, MoP and Legion all added new classes (or at least to a faction).You do realize that neither BfA class design is universally hated nor pinnacle of class design was in tbc/wrath/mop/legion? Legion was the expansion with the most class and spec revamps of any expansion, yet it still had a new class included. I think the fact BfA class design is almost universally hated and the fact that there was no new class would of killed this misconception but, no.
